Ant-Man's Return | Ant-Man and The Wasp (2018)
!!!WARNING!!!
!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!
In the last three months, Avengers: Infinity War was released and
everyone seemed having a roller coaster back then. But, it was not just that. The
MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) fans
were wondering where is Ant-Man.
Why he did not play in Avengers: Infinity War?
Well, the answers are in this sequel
of Ant-Man called Ant-Man and The Wasp which is directed
by Peyton Reed. Setting in the aftermath of Captain
America: Civil War, as being captured by the FBI, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) grapples
with the consequences of his choice as both a Super Hero and a father. But,
everything changes when he takes a bath and sees a vision of a woman playing
hide and seek with a girl–which are Hope (Evangeline Lily) and her mother
(Michelle Pfeiffer). After he tells everything to Dr. Hank Pym (MichaelDouglas), Scott is finally confronted by them with an urgent new mission. Since
that, Scott must once again put on the suit and fight alongside The Wasp to
uncover secrets from their past, also face new enemies.
As a truly MCU fan, I must say that
the movie quite answering my question of Ant-Man’s whereabouts. After being
captured by the FBI, turn into Super Hero again, being chased by enemies, and saving
the world again. Scott, as in the first movie, always makes funny of other
people, especially his daughter Cassie (Abby Ryder Fortson)–and that is why I
like him. He also learns how to do some magic tricks and some of them are
nailed it–I laughed a lot to be honest. Then, there is Hope who missed her
mother so much that she wants to save her so much from the quantum realm–since Scott
could save himself from the quantum realm as in the last movie. To make that
happen, Dr. Hank Pym helps her to make a bridge to the quantum world. He is a
genius scientist that he could spare his life for all the technologies he
invented. And of course, like Scott did in the last movie, I want to steal one
of his piece of art.
And, this movie cannot be so interesting
without Luis’ (Michael Peña) appearance. Yes, he is back with
his hilarious impersonating story–though most outlines are truly on point. His appearance
as a Mexican with a funny voice tone are making me–and the viewers–entertained.
Also, do not forget Stan Lee’s appearance as a cameo in this movie–if you are
truly a MCU fan. Also, make sure that you had already watched the two
post-credits in this movie since those are quite answering your question about
Ant-Man’s whereabouts. And, as you can see that Scott is still trapped in the
quantum realm while Dr. Hank Pym, Hope, her mother, and the rest of citizens–except
ants–were swept away by Thanos (Josh Brolin) in order to wipe the entire
universe, as said in Avengers: Infinity War.
Overall, I really enjoyed the entire
movie and I truly cannot wait for the Avengers:
Infinity War (part 2), also the solo movie of Captain Marvel–which is released in 2019.
